Glass
Our precious lotions in a plastic bottle? We think not.
We use a very minimal amount of plastics in our packaging - our lids & pumps, any items which would be placed in your shower/bath area and our security seals. That's it! We have always used glass to house our exquisite lotions & oils, to provide the highest level of product integrity for you and your children. It was of the greatest importance to us when designing our product line.
Everyone uses plastic, we know. It's the most widely used packaging choice for personal care products because it's super cheap, lightweight & resistant to breaking. What you may not realize is that plastics leach their chemical components into the products they carry, things like xenoestrogens. The human body recognizes these chemicals as estrogens, the excessive "bad" estrogens which have produced the estrogen dominant society we now live in. Xenoestrogens are endocrine-disrupting chemicals which mimic the effects of estrogen and compromise normal hormone function. In women, these chemicals can contribute to various cancers, endometriosis, fibroids, early-onset puberty, infertility and miscarriage. In men, xenoestrogens have been linked to prostate & testicular cancers, decreased sperm counts and gynecomastia (male breast enlargement). Other health conditions can arise including diabetes, behavior abnormalities in children and thyroid disorders. What that means for us as a population are things like weight gain, reproductive disorders & damage including various cancers. Many other avoidable disturbances can occur from being estrogen dominant, which is nothing short of an epidemic worldwide today. And that's just the estrogens. What about the other toxic chemicals in plastics?
Using aluminum bottles isn't any better or safer for our health. No way! The lining used inside aluminum bottles is the same as the lining used inside aluminum cans on our grocery store shelves - the resin is a toxic chemical cocktail, which includes the ever-controversial BPA (bisphenol-A). BPA has been linked to cancer, need we say more? BPA's replacement - BPS - is no less toxic. Buyer beware!

Raindrops on a Glass Windowpane
With our high standards, using plastic wasn't even an option for JuicyforSure™. Knowing that what we put on our skin is absorbed into our body, we simply want to make safe choices with the personal care products we purchase for our family. Choosing to use glass keeps our lotions and oils just as pure as when we blend them...integrity freshly intact!
We challenge you to go into your kitchen and bathroom right now, and familiarize yourself with all the plastic containers that will be staring back at you! Now, knowing what you just learned about plastics, perhaps it's time to ditch them for good!
We aren't trying to appeal to the masses and just bring something cheap to you. A million companies have already done that and continue to do it every day. We're different. Our products are for the discerning consumer, those looking for true quality and integrity in the products they choose for their family. You will pay a little more for top quality ingredients and packaging that doesn't leach harmful chemicals into your lotions...we think your family is worth it!
